Besides making maps for your viewing pleasure, ›maps without borders‹ will study the process of creating maps without the state involved. From psychological aspects like our perception of large-scale geographical space, to theoretical questions like postmodern geopolitics, to practical challenges like data processing and rendering, we want to investigate a lot of different things that all come together in making our maps.

We are looking for research partners, individuals and institutions, to exchange ideas and collaborate on the project. So if you’re interested, drop us a line!
